Two children have been identified among the dead in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, where Russian troops struck with a rocket the day before, the Prosecutor General's Office said on Saturday, UNN reports.

"As of the morning of August 10, 2024, the bodies of 2 dead children were identified in the city of Kostiantynivka - girls aged 9 and 11. Expert examinations are underway to identify 6 more people, including, possibly, 1 child," the prosecutor's office said on social media.
According to the latest data, the number of people killed in the shelling of Konstantinovka by the Russian armed forces is 14, and 43 people were wounded.
Investigative actions are currently underway. The number of victims is being clarified.

On August 9, at 11:05 a.m., the enemy launched an air strike on the town of Kostyantynivka, preliminary, with an X-38 missile, the prosecutor's office said. The attack hit a local shopping center with food and hardware stores.
A pre-trial investigation is underway in the criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
