The Russian Armed Forces are facing a shortage of spare parts for artillery repairs. This is reported by the "ATESH" partisan movement, according to UNN.
Details
It is noted that a movement agent from the 227th Artillery Brigade on the Kherson front reported increasingly frequent cases of guns failing directly during combat.
The reason is critical wear and tear of equipment combined with a chronic shortage of spare parts. Field repairs are becoming impossible: weapons break down, and there is nothing to replace them with. Barrels burn out ahead of schedule, and mechanisms fail after an excessive number of shots
It is indicated that repair crews are working without the necessary components—instead of scheduled parts replacement, they patch holes with makeshift means, which accelerates further equipment failure.
"We are told: hold on. But there is nothing to hold on with—barrels are burning out, there are no spare parts, and the command pretends everything is under control,"
According to him, as a result, infantry fire support is becoming a rarer occurrence, which directly impacts casualties.
Recall
