Details

According to Novak, the ban on diesel fuel exports will be gradually lifted to prevent oversaturation of refineries and a reduction in processing volumes.

We also decided at the working group to extend the ban on gasoline exports for both producers and non-producers. That is, it will be extended until the end of the year

– said Novak.

The Russian government claims the fuel situation is improving

As Bloomberg notes, this summer Russia faced a nationwide fuel crisis. Many regions had to introduce rationing of gasoline and diesel fuel sales after intensified Ukrainian attacks on oil refineries. In response, the government introduced a number of restrictions, including a ban on fuel exports.

Novak said that the situation on the fuel market is gradually stabilizing, as a number of refineries have already resumed operations, and the supply of gas stations has "significantly improved."

At the same time, the government is discussing additional fuel supplies to Siberia, where the situation remains difficult. According to him, part of the deficit could be covered by supplies from Kazakhstan, although the surplus fuel in that country is insignificant.
