On the night of July 19, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv, using dozens of ballistic missiles of various types. Hits, debris falls, and fires were recorded in several districts of the capital. According to the Air Force, during the attack, Russian troops repeatedly launched ballistic missiles towards the capital. Monitoring channels report that a total of about 35–40 missiles were fired at Kyiv and the region, which, according to preliminary data, included S-400, Iskander-M, and Zircon systems.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, a hit on a multi-apartment residential building was recorded in the Solomianskyi district.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire broke out in a multi-apartment residential building due to falling debris. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
In the Dniprovskyi district, fires occurred in a shopping and entertainment center and in cars.
Also, in the Sviatoshynskyi district, a private residential house caught fire as a result of the attack.
