The Israeli Defense Forces reports that about 40 rockets were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel, some of them were intercepted, while others hit open areas or fell in Lebanon, UNN reports with reference to the Times of Israel.
"After sirens sounded in northern Israel, approximately 40 launches were detected crossing Lebanese territory, some of which were intercepted. The rest fell in open areas. No casualties were reported," the IDF said in a statement.

Earlier in the evening, an IDF air defense team successfully intercepted two explosive Hezbollah drones that had crossed from Lebanon into Israel.
In Ramot Naftali, sirens were sounding because of the risk of shrapnel falling from the interceptor.
Earlier today, several launchers were identified crossing Lebanese territory in the direction of Ramot Naftali. No casualties were reported.
Over the past few hours, the IDF has struck a number of locations in southern Lebanon to eliminate the threat.
