In Ukraine, automobile transportation will now be integrated into the European transportation space. The Verkhovna Rada adopted the corresponding law, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure Oleksiy Kuleba reported in Telegram, UNN writes.

Details

With the adoption of this law, changes are being introduced in Ukraine in the field of licensing and access to the market. In particular, a "good reputation" mechanism appears, when the carrier has no fines or sanctions.

Financial requirements for launching transport companies are also being introduced, in addition, a system of professional competence of managers of transport companies will be created. But that's not all: the draft law provides for the use of a unified complex of information security systems of road transport to systematize information about the carrier. Thanks to this, it is possible to develop digital services for carriers, says Kuleba.

The supported draft law is not just a legal document, but a real tool for the development of a modern, transparent and competitive road transport market. It opens up new opportunities for our carriers and creates better conditions for cooperation with the EU

- the minister said.

The full text of the law published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: the explanatory note states the need to resolve issues of licensing road transport, procedures for registration, issuance and monitoring of relevant certificates of professional competence of transport managers.

"Issues regarding improving the quality of freight transport services, reducing the number of traffic accidents involving vehicles engaged in freight transport, and improving safety in road transport can be resolved by introducing licensing of freight transport services and defining licensing conditions in accordance with European practice," the explanatory note says.
