The Ombudsman stated a critical situation with violations of citizens' rights during mobilization, citing examples of detentions in the streets and obstruction of the Ombudsman's representatives in the SCC.

The problem of violation of the rights of Ukrainian citizens during mobilization is becoming critical. This was stated by Dmytro Lubinets, Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, during a press conference, reports UNN.

Details

In my opinion, the problem of violation of the rights of Ukrainian citizens during mobilization processes is becoming critical. I clearly understand the state the country is in. We all clearly understand that mobilization processes must be carried out. But our position is that all processes must take place exclusively on the basis of current legislation without violating the rights of Ukrainian citizens. Everything is very simple and transparent

- said Lubinets.

Lubinets also mentioned the example of Kharkiv region, where, according to him, new alarming trends are being recorded. In particular, he spoke about cases when citizens are detained directly on the street, and sometimes even cyclists are knocked down in order to forcibly deliver them to territorial recruitment centers.

The Ombudsman stressed that his representatives provide legal assistance to persons who are illegally detained and personally visit the TCC. However, he also stated that in some cases his employees are obstructed in the performance of their duties by not being allowed into the military commissariats.

"We have opened a criminal case on the facts of obstructing the activities of a public figure. I am now monitoring this situation, and I emphasize that processes in a democratic civilized state of Ukraine should take place exclusively within the law of Ukraine," Lubinets added.

Recall

Earlier, UNN wrote that in Kharkiv, a TCC serviceman pushed a cyclist, causing him to fall. After that, several soldiers who arrived in a van took the victim.

In Kharkiv region, the head of the Lozova TCC allegedly beat a female volunteer. An official investigation has been launched into this fact.

A conflict occurred in Vinnytsia between the police, TCC and passers-by during the detention of a 40-year-old man who fled from the military enlistment office. During the clash, a police officer dropped his service weapon due to being pushed by a passer-by.

In Kyiv region, TCC employees tried to "smoke out" a conscript from a car using gas.
