Rada refuses to abolish tax exemptions for parcels worth up to €150

The Parliament rejected bill No. 12360 on the taxation of parcels up to €150. The document failed to garner enough votes and was not sent for a second reading.

The Verkhovna Rada did not support the abolition of the tax exemption for parcels worth up to 150 euros, UNN reports, citing the parliamentary session.

Draft Law No. 12360, which originally concerned the procedure for evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of customs authorities but was radically rewritten for the second reading—specifically adding provisions on the taxation of parcels up to 150 euros—received only 127 "Yes" votes during the vote in the second reading and as a whole.

The Rada also failed to send the draft law for a repeat second reading, receiving 222 votes out of the required 226. 

"The law is rejected," said First Vice Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko.

Draft Law No. 15112-d introduces automatic VAT payment by marketplaces for goods up to 150 euros. The new rules will take effect no earlier than January 1, 2027.
