Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the spring conscription for military service of Russians aged 18 to 30. In the current campaign, it is planned to involve 160,000 Russians for conscript service, which is 10,000 more than in the same period last year. The decree came into force today, reports UNN with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the document, the spring conscription of 2025 in the Russian Federation will start on April 1 and end on July 15. During this time, citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 30 who are in reserve and subject to conscription will be called up to the army.

It is worth noting that during the spring conscription campaign of the Russian Federation in 2024, only 150,000 people were sent for conscript service. According to the document, at the same time, soldiers, sailors, sergeants and sergeant majors who have completed their military service term are to be dismissed from service.
The upcoming conscription campaign is not related to the special military operation in Ukraine. Conscription measures will be carried out in a planned manner, within the timeframes established by the legislation of the Russian Federation. Most of the conscripts will be sent to training units and military units
Also, the authorities of the aggressor country noted that the spring conscription will take place in all subjects of the Russian Federation, with the exception of 54 separate regions of the Far North and certain localities equated to them. They say that men are conscripted for military service only during the autumn conscription campaign due to climatic conditions.
