The results of an all-Ukrainian survey conducted recently by the Sociological Group "Rating" show that the disapproval of the current Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov is growing in society, UNN writes, citing the published results.
The average generalized indicators of approval/disapproval in September-October 2024 regarding the Minister's activities were as follows: 7% - strongly approve; 33% - rather approve; 20% - rather disapprove; 14% - strongly disapprove. At the same time, 26% had no answer.
In addition, if we look at these indicators in the dynamics since Umerov's appointment as minister, it becomes apparent that the level of approval of his actions is declining. Thus, while in February 2024 (Umerov took office as Minister in September 2023), 12% of respondents did not approve of his activities at all, in September it was already 14%; in February of the same year, 16% of respondents rather disapproved of his activities, and in September this figure reached 20%.
It is noteworthy that the rates of disapproval of Oleksiy Reznikov's performance as minister were more modest - they peaked in February 2023, when 7% of respondents did not approve of his work at all, and 13% rather disapproved. At the same time, the level of approval in Reznikov's "crisis" February 23 was higher than Umerov's during his tenure: 26% of respondents in February indicated that they "completely approve" of Reznikov's activities, and another 36% chose the "rather approve" position. The former minister also had a lower level of uncertainty, which may indicate a higher level of public awareness of Reznikov's activities as minister.
