Over ten years, the population of the temporarily occupied Donbas has decreased from over 7.3 million to approximately 3.75 million people. This is reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, reports UNN.

"Over ten years, the population of occupied Donbas has decreased by almost a third — from over 7.3 million to approximately 3.75 million people," the GUR stated in a post explaining "how Russia has brought the demographic situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to a catastrophe."
At the same time, as the GUR indicated, Russia is purposefully changing the ethnic composition of the enslaved territories.
"Only in occupied Crimea and Sevastopol there are already 200–300 thousand imported Russians, and by 2042 the Kremlin plans to resettle another 130 thousand to Sevastopol. Repressions, forced Russification, expropriation of Ukrainian property, financial motivation for Russians, and long-term colonization plans — all these are elements of the policy of ethnocide aimed at displacing Ukrainians from their own land," the post reads.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin stated that the plans to "control the entire Donbas and conclude an agreement do not contradict each other." In addition, he added that Russia allegedly controls 80% of the Zaporizhzhia region, 85% of the "DPR," and 100% of the "LPR."
