The allies have asked to replace Polish General Artur Jakubczyk, an officer of the International Military Staff at NATO headquarters, Rzeczpospolita reports, UNN writes.

Details

"General Artur Jakubczyk is one of eight Polish generals currently working in NATO structures. As Rz has learned, his term of office will be reduced at the request of the allies at the headquarters. The reason: violations in the competition for the position of the head of the Intelligence Policy Division of the Joint Intelligence and Security Department of NATO Headquarters," the newspaper writes.

Yakubchik was reportedly a member of the selection committee and allegedly favored one of the candidates who was from Poland. "She has already returned to the country," the newspaper said.

It is reported that "an additional charge is that his behavior was described as homophobic and racist".

"We are not going to comment or answer your questions at this time," the newspaper notes, as representatives of the country's Defense Ministry's press service responded to a request for comment.
