German police said they had detained three men who belonged to radical Islamic movements and were preparing a "serious act of violence", for which they had firearms and edged weapons. This is reported by The Guardian, writes UNN.

It is noted that two of those arrested are of Lebanese origin, and another is of Turkish origin. The oldest of the potential terrorists is only 22 years old. They lived in Mannheim and Hesse and, with a high probability, planned to organize an attack on the Christmas market in one of the major cities - Frankfurt was under threat.
Authorities said the two Mannheim brothers had "deep sympathies for the ideology of the Islamic State" and "took concrete steps to prepare for a terrorist attack." An assault rifle with ammunition was seized from them, and several knives and a balaclava were seized from their accomplice.
