Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Poland has provided protection to 1.73 million Ukrainians. Poles have spent more than 10 billion zlotys on aid.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Poland has provided legal and financial protection to 1.73 million Ukrainians who were forced to leave the country because of the war. Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this, UNN writes.

According to Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 77% of the country’s citizens actively participated in helping Ukrainian refugees. Another 7% of Poles provided Ukrainians with their own homes to live in.

In total, Polish citizens spent more than 10 billion zlotys on helping Ukrainians.
