In Hungary, in November last year, the "Tisza" party overtook the ruling "Fidesz" party of Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and now it has stabilized its leadership in the party competition, according to the latest study by ZRI Závecz Research, writes UNN with reference to Telex.

In the group of confident voters and party voters, the "Tisza" party received 40 percent, and "Fidesz" - 35.
The survey involved 1,000 people from March 16 to 25. The margin of error of the data obtained during the public opinion poll is 3.2 percent.

Závecz reports that the electoral camps of the "Tisza" and "Fidesz" parties differ mainly in age, and secondly, education affects the political affiliation of voters. According to the study, among those under 40, "Tisza" has almost twice the advantage over the ruling party (38% and 20%, respectively). However, among those over 60, "Fidesz" has a significant advantage (34% and 21%).
Based on the Zavecz study, 55 percent of people want a change of government, while 38 percent would leave the current government in power after 2026.
Expectations for victory in 2026 are balanced: 39 percent of the population assume that the "Tisza" party will receive the most seats in parliament, while 38 percent believe that "Fidesz" has a chance of winning. According to voters of the ruling party, the chances of winning in "Fidesz" are estimated at 98 percent, while voters of "Tisza" are somewhat less optimistic: 87 percent expect to defeat "Fidesz".
