On July 20, the Russian military fired 23 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. 97 explosions were recorded. Khotyn, Yunakiv, Miropil, Bilopil, Krasnopil, Velykopysariv, Hlukhiv, Esman communities were shelled. This was reported by the Sumy RMA, UNN reports.

One person was injured in the shelling of Bilopil community with “grads”.
- Yunakivska community: shelling with the use of FPV drones (3 explosions).
- Esman community: mortar shelling (5 explosions) and shelling with FPV drones (7 explosions) were recorded.
- Myropilska community: the Russian army used mortars (24 explosions).
- Khotyn community: 3 mines were dropped by the Russian army on the territory of the community. There were also launches of unguided aerial missiles (6 explosions).
- Hlukhivska community: shelling from MLRS (2 explosions).
- Velykopysarivska community: artillery (4 explosions) and mortars (7 explosions) were used.
- Krasnopilska community: 1 FPV drone was attacked (1 explosion), and attack with the use of aircraft-type strike drones (5 explosions).
