A regimental commander from the Luty assault brigade, Oleksandr Gostishchev, was killed in a missile attack on Odesa. This was reported by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Artem Lysogor, UNN reports.

During today's strike on Odesa, 41-year-old commander of the Tsunami assault regiment of the Luty assault brigade of the Offensive Guard, Oleksandr Gostishchev, was killed.

He clarified that Oleksandr Gostishchev served in the ATO zone since June 2014. He participated in the liberation of Mariupol, Ilovaisk and other law enforcement operations.
Since 2017, he has headed the Patrol Police Department in the cities of. Sievierodonetsk, Lysychansk and Rubizhne.
Since 2022, he has been at war again. In November of the same year, the President of Ukraine awarded him the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, III class, for his contribution to the offensive in Kherson region.

As a result of the enemy missile attack on Odesa, 17 people have been killed, including one rescuer, and 73 people have been wounded. Rescue operations at the scene are ongoing.
