Russian occupiers have been ordered to intensify drone strikes on civilian infrastructure and transport in frontline areas and border regions, reported the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, writes UNN.
The GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs: units of the Russian occupation army have received orders to intensify drone strikes on civilian infrastructure and motor vehicles in frontline areas and border regions. The command has ordered to step up strikes on gas stations, trucks, buses, and cars. The executors of these orders are the "rubicon" center for advanced unmanned systems and external pilots of line units of the occupation army
According to the GUR, to search for and strike targets, the occupiers plan to use real-time controlled drones of the "molniya-1", "molniya-2", "geran-siker", "gerbera-siker", "lancet", V2U and other similar unmanned systems.
"The low level of crew training is already leading to incidents where, within the framework of the terror campaign against Ukraine, the Russians mistakenly strike their own. Thus, operators of the 1427th motorized rifle regiment of the RF Armed Forces, due to loss of orientation, directed a 'molniya-2' at a civilian UAZ 'Bukhanka' vehicle in the area of the settlement of Glushkovo, Kursk region in Russia. The drone did not hit the target - it detonated approximately 10 meters from the vehicle," the GUR noted.
As the intelligence agency stated, "at the same time, such attacks against their own civilian population in the border regions of the aggressor state are often orchestrated by Russian special services for use by Kremlin propaganda in the campaign to demonize and discredit Ukraine."
"Another illustrative case occurred in the Zaporizhzhia direction, when enemy operators committed a drone 'friendly fire' - mistakenly striking a pickup truck with Russian occupiers," the statement said.
One way or another, the order of the Russian leaders to intensify drone terror in the frontline regions poses a real threat to the civilian population of Ukraine. The GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine calls on citizens to be vigilant and respond to air raid signals
