Since the beginning of this day, occupying forces have stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders 83 times, while Russian artillery continues to relentlessly shell the Ukrainian border areas. The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions, UNN reports, citing the General Staff summary.
Today in the Sumy region, Rohizne, Ryzhivka, Korenok, Neskuchne, Tovstodubove, Bunyakyne, Bachivsk, Sopych, and Yastrubshchyna came under enemy artillery strikes, while in the Chernihiv region, Halahanivka and Zarichchya were subjected to fire. Air strikes were carried out on the settlement of Sloboda in the Sumy region.
In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, one combat engagement took place. In the same area, the enemy launched two air strikes using five guided aerial bombs; furthermore, they shelled our lines and peaceful villages 30 times, using multiple launch rocket systems twice.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, the invaders tried to break through the defenses near the settlements of Vilcha and Okhrimivka twice. One fierce combat engagement is ongoing at this very moment.
In the Kupiansk sector of the front, the occupiers went on the attack twice, trying to push back our units near Novoplatonivka and Kupiansk. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
The aggressor was also active in the Lyman direction, carrying out 11 assaults near the settlements of Derylove, Drobysheve, Stavky, Lyman, Ozerne, and Yampil. One combat engagement is still ongoing here.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers successfully neutralized seven attempts by the invaders to advance in the area of the settlements of Rai-Oleksandrivka, Kalenyky, Kryva Luka, and Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk and Prydniprovskyi directions, no offensive actions by the occupiers were recorded.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, our defenders successfully stopped seven enemy attacks as the foe attempted to break through our defensive lines near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyniv Yar, and Illinivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy tried 23 times to dislodge our defenders from their occupied lines in the areas of Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Novomykolaivka, and Udachne. Two combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled six enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Vorone, Sichneve, and Ternove. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces are holding the line firmly: 16 enemy attacks were successfully repelled in the areas of the settlements of Pryluky, Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Solodke, Vozdvizhivka, Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka, Varvarivka, Huliaipilske, and Charivne, with three more battles ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the invaders twice unsuccessfully tried to wedge into our defensive formations near Shcherbaky and Stepove.
In the remaining sectors of the front, there are no significant changes in the operational situation, and no attempts at enemy advancement have been recorded, the General Staff summarized.
