Russian occupants are building up their forces, particularly in the Vovchansk sector. As of August 1, the transfer of new units from Luhansk region has already begun. "Speaking about the escalation, I meant that the enemy is constantly deploying new units. He is building up his forces, in particular in the Vovchansk sector. As of August 1, the transfer of new units from Luhansk region has already begun there, in particular, units of the 22nd motorized rifle battalion of the 72nd motorized rifle division of the 44th army corps," said Sarantsev.
According to him, there is also information that units of the "Alexander Nevsky" volunteer brigade have been set up in Vovchansk.
"There is also information that Akhmat units are performing tasks in this area, and traditionally, the units that were there from the beginning are involved. So the situation there is complicated, but we are holding everything. We have reinforced our units and are supplying ammunition to prevent the enemy from breaking through in this area," Sarantsev said.

On August 1, Sarantsev reported that the situation in the operational area of the OTU "Kharkiv" remains difficult and has signs of escalation. The Russians are conducting internal rotations and increasing their military presence in the border areas.
