The most popular electric vehicles in March for Ukrainians were the Chinese BYD Leopard 3 among new cars and the Nissan Leaf among used cars, while interest in electric cars in Ukraine jumped during the month, UNN reports with reference to Ukrautoprom data.
Last month, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 2021 units of battery-powered vehicles (BEV).
Compared to March last year, demand for electric vehicles, as noted, fell by 63%, and compared to February 2026, it increased by 88%.
The majority of electric vehicles registered during the month were passenger cars - 1910 units (new - 227 units, used - 1683 units).
Among the 111 units of commercial electric vehicles, only 15 cars were new.
The TOP-5 new electric vehicles of the month included:
- BYD Leopard 3 - 34 units.
- ZEEKR 001 - 30 units.
- BYD Sea Lion 06 - 30 units.
- VOLKSWAGEN ID.UNYX - 21 units.
- VOLKSWAGEN iD.4 - 19 units.

- NISSAN Leaf - 226 units.
- TESLA Model Y - 212 units.
- TESLA Model 3 - 210 units.
- RENAULT Zoe - 101 units.
- KIA Niro - 100 units.
