A large-scale outbreak of norovirus has been recorded on the cruise ship Caribbean Princess, which is heading to Port Canaveral in the United States. At least 102 passengers and 13 crew members have fallen ill. This was reported by Le Soir, citing data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), according to UNN.

Passengers and crew members developed identical symptoms – diarrhea and vomiting. There are 3,116 passengers on board the vessel.
According to the CDC, the infected individuals have been isolated, and sanitary measures on the liner have been strengthened to contain the spread of the virus.

Caribbean Princess is a 289-meter cruise ship owned by Princess Cruises. This is already the second norovirus outbreak on the company's vessels since the beginning of the year.
Earlier, a similar case was recorded on a Holland America Line ship, where symptoms of gastroenteritis were detected in approximately 90 passengers and crew members.
According to U.S. health authorities, 21 outbreaks of gastrointestinal diseases have already been recorded on cruise ships in the U.S. in 2025.
