Train traffic on the "blue" metro line in Kyiv has been fully restored after an incident at the "Kontraktova Ploshcha" station. The passenger who was hit by the train remained alive.

The stations are open for passengers to enter and exit. It is also reported that the passenger who fell under the train at Kontraktova Square is alive.

Train traffic on the "blue" metro line has been restored to normal

Earlier in Kyiv, four metro stations on the blue line, Poshtova Ploshcha, Kontraktova Ploshcha, Pochaina and Tarasa Shevchenko, were temporarily closed for entry. This was due to a passenger falling under a train at the Kontraktova Ploshcha metro station.

‘A passenger was hit by a train at Kontraktova Ploshcha station,’ the Kyiv City State Administration reported. Train traffic was reorganised.

As of now, it is known that the passenger is alive.

‘The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by law enforcement agencies,’ the Kyiv City Administration wrote.
