In the capital, law enforcement officers detained a man suspected of molesting a 10-year-old girl in her parents' apartment while they were asleep. This was reported by the Kyiv police, according to UNN.
According to the investigation, the suspect had come to the couple's home for a social gathering and stayed overnight.
After making sure that his acquaintances were asleep, the perpetrator entered their room, woke the girl up, and led her to his room, where he subsequently began touching her private parts
The child managed to escape back to her parents. As law enforcement officials noted, the girl only dared to tell what happened after the man had left the premises.
In less than an hour, operatives established the suspect's location and detained him. The man has been notified of the charges against him.
In addition, juvenile police officers established that the child's parents systematically abused alcohol, and the girl herself lived in inappropriate conditions.
Inspectors filed administrative protocols against the couple under Article 184 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. Social services have removed the girl from the family.
