The Ministry of Defense of Moldova reported that a drone crossed the country's border during a massive Russian attack on Ukraine; the airspace in the northern zone of Moldova was temporarily closed, UNN reports, citing NewsMaker.

"The Ministry of Defense reported that today at 4:00 PM, a drone crossed the state border from the direction of Mohyliv-Podilskyi, Vinnytsia region, towards the village of Sauca, Ocnița district," the report states.
At 4:05 PM, the drone was reportedly "spotted by local residents over the city of Bălți. It was moving in the direction of the Ungheni district."
"At 4:19 PM, the unmanned aerial vehicle was detected by airspace surveillance systems in service with the National Army in the village of Lăpușna, Hîncești district. At 4:23 PM, it was near the village of Cărpineni, Hîncești district, continuing its movement toward the south of the country," the publication notes.
"Airspace in the northern zone was temporarily closed," the report says.

The Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Natalia Zabolotna, stated: "80 enemy UAVs were in the airspace of the Vinnytsia region. This was one of the largest air attacks in recent times. Fortunately, there are no casualties. I thank our air defense forces for their work and for protecting the sky!"
