The Ministry of Energy is working to restore the energy system in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region and hopes for positive news in a week. This was reported by Deputy Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk during a telethon, a correspondent of UNN reports.
"I think we may have more positive news for Kharkiv and Kharkiv region in a week or so. We have to understand that the situation there is very difficult. Almost all local generation has been destroyed and transmission facilities have been severely damaged, which has really made the situation in the region very difficult," says Mr. Hrynchuk.
She added that about 200,000 consumers are currently subject to schedules and it is very difficult to change the situation in a day or two.
