Popular Ukrainian singer Jamala, who is currently the producer of the national selection for Eurovision 2026, has lifted the veil on the preparations for the song contest in Ukraine. This is reported by UNN with reference to Instagram.
As we can see from the artist's publication on her photoblog, she conducted rehearsals with all the participants of the upcoming show. The final of the selection itself will take place on February 7. On this day, the artists will compete with each other for the opportunity to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2026.
Jamala, as the winner of Eurovision 2016 and as the producer of the event, gives advice and guidance to her younger colleagues. In particular, the star herself explained what Eurovision means to her. The 2016 triumpher compared the song contest to a boxer's preparation for a fight and emphasized the seriousness of Europe's largest song event.
When a boxer enters the ring, he always has a whole team with him. The coach works on technique, someone else shows something else. One — what to do with the hands. Another — with the legs. A third — draws attention to the head. It's very similar at the competition. Precise adjustments are just as important before the stage. This helps. An artist needs a teacher/coach/mentor/person who can be nearby so as not to get lost, not to waver, not to lose their state. These adjustments gather you. Sometimes a few words are enough for someone. Sometimes — one glance. And sometimes it takes a little more time. Each person needs an absolutely individual approach. Only a few weeks remain until the final of the National Selection
