The last bell in Kyiv schools will ring on May 29, after which, in June, educational institutions will operate in the format of additional classes and student support programs. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), Valentyn Mondryivskyi, as reported by UNN with reference to the KCSA.
The capital's educational system, which employs over 63,000 specialists and educates about 400,000 children and students, continues to operate under the challenges of war. Despite the energy crisis caused by enemy shelling, forced holidays, and changes in learning formats, schools have adapted to the situation and continued the educational process. The next important stage is to help students catch up on educational losses. That is why in June we are strengthening additional classes, clubs, and support programs
According to him, taking these conditions into account, the learning format for 11th-grade students will change in May. If necessary, schools can switch to an individual-group model so that graduates can focus on the subjects required for admission and systematize their knowledge before exams.
In June, educational institutions will organize compensatory classes to overcome educational losses and psychological support measures for students. Special attention will be paid to practical skills and safety. Schools will conduct educational practices for the subject "Defense of Ukraine," training in tactical medicine, mine safety, and civil protection, as well as digital literacy classes.
In parallel, language clubs, summer educational studios, creative workshops, and STEM activities will be organized for children. This provides an opportunity not only to make up for learning losses but also to develop skills that are currently important.
