A 34-year-old poet and prose writer Oleksiy Bezpaltsev was killed while performing a combat mission in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications, UNN reports.
During his lifetime, the Kharkiv writer published two collections of short stories and participated in numerous literary slams.
Oleksiy fought for about a year in the Pokrovsk sector, and then in the Kupyansk sector.
"We express our sincere condolences to Oleksiy's family, friends, and relatives. Glory and eternal memory to the hero!" the ministry said in a statement.

Musician and soldier Yuriy Melofon was killed on December 2 while performing a combat mission. He was known for creating remixes for the singer Lavika and active volunteer work since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
