Pop singer Jennifer Lopez said that there are “no accidents in life” and shared how she overcomes difficulties, including her divorce from Ben Affleck. She said this in an interview for the British magazine Vogue, reports UNN.
Details
According to the artist, she perceives difficult moments as lessons that help her grow and change.
I think that I cope with difficulties not as something that happens to me, but as something that happens for me to learn an important lesson
She added that this is the nature of difficulties in life.
What am I supposed to understand here? There are no accidents. It doesn't just happen by chance. It happens for a reason. What can I learn and how can I come out of this situation better, stronger, more aware, evolve and grow?
Lopez also noted that she does not regret giving Affleck a second chance.
Their romance resumed in 2021, 17 years after the breakup, but ended in divorce.
That doesn't mean it didn't almost break me completely
She said it almost broke her. But now, looking from the other side, I think:
Damn, that was exactly what I needed. Thank you, God. I'm sorry it took me so long to realize this. I'm sorry you had to do this to me so many times. I should have realized two or three times ago. But you made me really understand by hitting me over the head with a hammer
She filed for divorce on August 20 in a Los Angeles court. Her request for divorce was filed exactly two years after their wedding in Georgia. Rumors of problems in the couple's marriage circulated for several months before Lopez decided to officially end the relationship.
Recall
Lopez and Affleck first married in 2022 in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas. A month later, they held a celebratory ceremony for friends and family at an $8 million estate in Georgia that Affleck had purchased 20 years ago when they started dating.
The couple met while filming the movie Gigli in 2002. They originally planned to get married in 2003, but the wedding was postponed, and in early 2004 they broke off their engagement. Their romance resumed in 2021, and Affleck proposed in April 2022.
