Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu testified in court in Tel Aviv, where he is a defendant in a corruption case. The politician calls the charges "an ocean of absurdity" and denies his guilt, UNN reports with reference to the BBC.

"I have checked the time of the rock at this moment, to tell the truth," Reuters quoted Netanyahu as saying.

"But I am also the prime minister.I lead a country that is waging war on seven fronts. And i think these two things can be done in parallel," he added.

The Jerusalem Post notes that Netanyahu called the charges against him"an ocean of absurdity.

The prime minister also said that if he had taken a more "left-wing" position, a criminal case would not have been opened against him.
