Iran has not decided whether to resume negotiations with the United States, the country's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said early Saturday morning, UNN reports, citing CNN.

Earlier this week, U.S. President Donald Trump said that the United States was holding "restrained" talks with Iran. "We're only having half-talks with them," he said in an interview with Axios.
Araghchi said that mediators Qatar and Pakistan had exchanged messages, but that this interaction did not constitute negotiations.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi also responded to Trump's statement that he would declare the Strait of Hormuz U.S. territory.

"The Strait of Hormuz cannot be seized with a tweet, an aircraft carrier, an executive order, or a campaign speech. Iran is not afraid of threats and will not be intimidated by a display of force," Gharibabadi said.
"The strait will be closed or opened exclusively by Iran's decision, and as long as you refuse to accept the reality of defeat and abandon your illusions, Iran will continue the blockade," he added.
