In the Russian city of Volgograd, on the night of May 29, a fire broke out at the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka oil refinery following a massive drone attack. This conclusion was reached by analysts from the ASTRA project after analyzing photos and videos from the scene, UNN reports.

Local residents reported numerous explosions over the city. The governor of the Volgograd region stated that one of the drones hit an apartment building in the Krasnooktyabrsky district, resulting in damaged balconies. According to him, there were no casualties.
At the same time, eyewitnesses released footage of a large fire. According to ASTRA, the location of the fire coincides with the territory of the Lukoil oil refinery in Volgograd. Analysts note that the distance from the filming point to the source of the fire is about 30 kilometers.
At least the tenth attack since the start of the full-scale war
"Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka" is the largest oil refining enterprise in the region and one of the key assets of the Lukoil company. The plant processes over 15 million tons of oil annually and produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, bitumen, and other petroleum products.
According to ASTRA's calculations, the current attack is at least the tenth on this enterprise since the start of the full-scale war. Previously, the plant was hit in 2024, 2025, and 2026, including several times during the past year. There is currently no official confirmation of the refinery strike from the Russian authorities.
