For Reference
Festive events dedicated to Russia Day began to be held on Moscow's Red Square in 2003. At that time, a theatrical performance, a parade of representatives from Russia's regions, a parade involving the military, and a concert titled "Young Voices of Russia" took place on the square.
Since then, events at this venue have been held annually. The concert was held even in 2020, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic. Last year, performers included Shaman, the group "Lyube," Nikolai Baskov, Grigory Leps, Sergey Lazarev, and Dima Bilan.
As a reminder
The Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9, 2024, was the most modest in history. There was no heavy military equipment on Red Square, although aviation flew over Moscow, and the ceremony itself lasted only 45 minutes.
