In the Russian city of Chita, wives and mothers of participants in the war against Ukraine marched for the first time on May 9. This was reported by Russian "media," according to UNN.

Details

As reported by the media, female relatives of military personnel marched in a parade formation for the first time during the Victory Day celebrations. It is claimed that these are the wives and mothers of deceased participants of the so-called "SMO."

All the women marched in light blue dresses, over which military tunics and jackets with medals were draped. The final row carried portraits.

A similar action was planned to be held in Chita last year. The organizer, Varvara Vlasova, told journalists at the time that 30 women had submitted applications to participate.

Recall

The parade in Moscow for Victory Day on May 9, 2024, became the most modest in history. There was no military hardware on Red Square, though aviation flew over Moscow, and the ceremony itself lasted only 45 minutes. For comparison: in 2021, the parade lasted 1 hour and 9 minutes, and in 2023 - 50 minutes.
