Stourbridge Town Hall was set up as a rest centre for those fleeing their homes.
Smoke rises from trees and houses as firefighters battle the blaze in the West Midlands.
"Transport is also being arranged for those who cannot get there independently," the West Midlands Fire Service said in a social media post.
"If you have to drive, be especially careful, avoid areas of heavy smoke and, please, do not travel to areas where fires are taking place to watch."
About 60 firefighters were working at the scene.
There is no information about casualties or property damage.
