As NBC News writes, amending the US Constitution to remove the two-term limit would be an extremely difficult task, requiring either a two-thirds vote of Congress or two-thirds of the states agreeing to convene a constitutional convention to propose the change. Either of these paths would require ratification by three-quarters of the states.
