The head of the Ternopil Regional Council, Mykhailo Holovko, who was reinstated in his position after being fired amid a bribery case, was dismissed again. This was reported by Suspilne, UNN.

All 40 MPs who were in the session hall at the time of the vote voted in favor of dismissing Holovko.
The decision required 33 votes.
Since some officials considered Holovko's reinstatement unfair, the regional council organized a secret ballot, dismissing him for the second time.

Today, on August 1, , the Lviv Administrative Court upheld the lawsuit to reinstate Mykhailo Holovko as the head of the Ternopil Regional Council.
The court also ordered him to pay UAH 591 thousand for the period of forced absenteeism.

Mykhailo Holovko was dismissed from the post of head of the Ternopil Regional Council on October 26, 2023.
In June 2023, the then chairman of the Ternopil Regional Council and two of his deputies were caught receiving more than UAH 600,000. In this regard, on June 26, they were notified of suspicion.
Subsequently, the High Anti-Corruption Court decided to take Holovko into custody, but set bail at UAH 805,200.
He was later released from custody. In November, the High Anti-Corruption Court changed the measure of restraint for Mykhailo Holovko to round-the-clock house arrest.
