Half of the 230 battles on the front line yesterday occurred in three directions - Pokrovsky, Huliaipilsky, and Oleksandrivsky, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning summary on April 3, showing a map of hostilities, writes UNN.
The Defense Forces are repelling the occupiers' attempts to improve their position and advance deep into the territory of Ukraine, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy. In total, 230 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday, the enemy launched 63 air strikes, dropping 213 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 9058 kamikaze drones and carried out 3788 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops, including 104 from multiple rocket launcher systems.
The aggressor carried out air strikes, particularly in the areas of the settlements of Kolomiytsi, Zelena Dolyna, Pidhavrylivka, Prosiana, Oleksandrivka, and Katerynivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; in Zaporizhzhia, Lyubytske, Omelnyk, Barvinivka, Dolynka, Huliaipilske, Vozdvyzhivka, Omelnyk, Shyroke, Kopani, Rivne, Novoselevka, Orikhiv, and Preobrazhenka suffered from air strikes.
Over the past day, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces hit four areas of concentration of enemy manpower and equipment, one logistics hub, and one command post of the Russian invaders.
Situation by directions
In the Northern-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, three combat engagements with the enemy took place yesterday. The enemy launched one air strike, dropped four aerial bombs, and carried out 100 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements, including four using MLRS.
In the Southern-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy tried to break through the defensive lines of our defenders five times in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia and Veterinary.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked seven times towards the settlements of Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Novoosinove.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked eight times, trying to penetrate our defense, attacking in the directions of the settlements of Nadiya, Novosergiyivka, Novojehorivka, Stavky, Lyman, and Drobycheve.
In the Sloviansk direction, our defenders stopped five attempts by the occupiers to advance in the areas of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Platonivka yesterday.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 19 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Berestok, Stepanivka, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiyivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiyivka, Novopavlivka, and towards Mykolaipillia.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 58 assault actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Myrnograd, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, Filiya, and towards the settlements of Bilytske, Shevchenko, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked 21 times in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandrivka, Sichneve, Vorone, Krasnohirske, and towards the settlements of Ivanivka, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Sosnivka, Stepove, Vyshneve, Verbove.
In the Huliaipole direction, there were 40 attacks by the occupiers towards the settlements of Olenokostiantynivka, Staroukrainka, Pryluky, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Svyatopetrivka, Dobropillia, Solodke, Myrny, Zelene, Huliaipilske, Charivne.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 13 times in the areas of the settlements of Mali Shcherbaky, Shcherbaky, Stepnohirsk, Stepove, and towards the settlements of Novodanylivka, Lukyanivske, and Prymorske.
In the Prydniprovsky direction, our soldiers repelled two assault actions of the enemy in the direction of the Antonivsky bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
