More than UAH 176.5 million has been allocated to restore water and heat supply facilities in Kherson region damaged by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam. This was reported by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, UNN reports.

On April 9, the government decided to allocate funds to the Kherson Regional State Administration from the state budget reserve fund to restore 25 water supply facilities and 4 heat supply facilities in Kherson region. UAH 139.38 million will be allocated for the restoration of water supply facilities, and UAH 37.16 million for the restoration of heat supply facilities.
In peacetime, about 300,000 people lived in the areas served by these facilities. Today it is about 100 thousand

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated an additional UAH 980.6 million from the state budget reserve fund to implement measures to ensure the transportation of drinking water for the needs of Dnipropetrovs'k, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
Also, by its decision of August 22, 2023 , the Government allocated an additional UAH 7 billion from the fund for the elimination of the consequences of armed aggression to implement a pilot project for the construction of main water pipelines due to the need to eliminate the negative consequences associated with the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. In total, taking into account previous allocations, UAH 8.5 billion has been allocated for the pilot project.
The Cabinet of Ministers has also allocated UAH 120 million to the State Agency of Water Resources to ensure sustainable supply of drinking water to Mykolaiv residents.
