Over the past day, 259 combat clashes occurred on the front line, the most in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Sloviansk directions - more than a quarter, the occupiers launched over 10,000 kamikaze drones and 295 guided aerial bombs, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on August 5, UNN writes.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out one missile strike using two missiles and 89 aviation strikes, during which it dropped 295 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders used 10,709 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,214 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops.
The enemy's artillery shellings affected the populated areas of Korenok, Buniakyne, Ryzhivka, Yastrubyne, Stepanivka, Ulanove, Pustohorod, and Bezsalivka in Sumy Oblast. In addition, aviation strikes affected areas of the populated areas of Sumy and Novi Vyrky in Sumy Oblast.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck six areas of concentration of enemy manpower, five artillery systems, and two control points of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Situation by directions
In the North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions, our defenders stopped three enemy assaults over the past day. At the same time, the aggressor carried out two aviation strikes using four guided aerial bombs and conducted 63 shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhansk direction, Ukrainian units repelled 23 enemy attacks. The invaders tried to advance in the areas of Starytsia, Lyman, Izbystske, and Kozacha Lopan, as well as in the directions of Kovalivka, Okhrimivka, Chorne, Khatnie, Mytrofanivka, and Ivashchyne.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct assault actions over the past day.
Attempts to penetrate our defense were repelled in the Lyman direction, where the occupiers attacked 14 times in the areas of Lyman, Dibrova, Ozerne, and Stavky, as well as in the directions of Cherneshchyna, Olhivka, Shyikivka, and Drobysheve.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy conducted 19 assault actions in the areas of Zakitne, Kryva Luka, and Riznykivka, as well as in the directions of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Pyskunivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked three times in the directions of the populated areas of Fedorivka Druha, Nykyforivka, and Markove.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, 22 attacks were recorded. The invaders conducted assault actions in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Ivanopillia, as well as in the directions of Novoselivka and Novopavlivka.
The largest number of assault actions was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, where our defenders stopped 27 attacks. The enemy showed activity in the areas of Rodynske and Kotlyne, and also conducted assaults in the directions of Novooleksandrivka, Toretske, Shakhove, Sofiivka, Chernihivka, Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, Udachne, and Novopidhorodne.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders conducted three attacks in the directions of the populated areas of Novoheorhiivka, Rybne, and Piddubne.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers attacked 16 times. The enemy tried to advance in the areas of Huliaipilske, Zaliznychne, and Hirke, as well as in the directions of Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Rizdvianka, Rivne, Staroukrainka, Charivne, and Yehorivka.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped three attempts by the enemy to advance in the directions of Bilohiria, Pavlivka, and Plavni.
In the Pridniprovsk direction, the enemy did not conduct assault actions over the past day.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
