In May 2026, premium brands of gasoline and diesel fuel remain the most expensive items in the retail segment of the Ukrainian fuel market. This is reported by UNN with reference to the results of fuel price monitoring.
According to the data obtained, the cost of Euro 5 diesel fuel is 89.90 UAH per liter, while Mustang+ diesel is sold at 92.90 UAH per liter.
Thus, the difference between standard diesel fuel and premium diesel is 3 UAH per liter. For drivers filling up a full tank, this is a significant blow to the wallet.
A-95 gasoline: how much it costs at Ukrainian gas stations
A-95 Euro 5-E5 gasoline costs 79.90 UAH per liter. At the same time, A-95 Mustang gasoline is sold at 82.90 UAH per liter. The difference between these two types of fuel is also 3 UAH per liter.
The cheapest place to buy A-95 is at Shell gas stations. There it costs 61.99. Prices at the level of 60+ UAH are also maintained at Ukrnafta, Avantage 7, and BRSM-Nafta gas stations.
The 70+ UAH price segment is represented by the MANGO, AMIC, Marshal, KLO, Market, BVS, and UPG networks.
The most expensive prices were set by WOG, SOCAR, and OKKO gas stations. There, a liter of A-95 gasoline will cost 78.90 UAH.
For consumers, this means that standard A-95 gasoline remains a more affordable option within the presented line. The premium A-95 Mustang brand costs more, but its price is still lower than that of A-100 Mustang gasoline and both types of diesel fuel.
In the price structure, A-95 Euro 5-E5 gasoline is the cheapest among gasoline positions. This is important for passenger car owners who focus primarily on the base price per liter rather than the premium characteristics of the product.
A-100 Mustang has equaled the price of standard diesel
A-100 Mustang gasoline currently costs 89.90 UAH per liter. This is the same level as Euro 5 diesel fuel. That is, gasoline with a higher octane rating has effectively equaled the price of standard diesel.
Compared to A-95 Euro 5-E5 gasoline, A-100 Mustang gasoline is 10 UAH per liter more expensive. When compared to A-95 Mustang, the difference is 7 UAH per liter. For daily trips, such a difference can significantly affect motorists' expenses, especially if the car is used regularly.
How much diesel costs in Ukraine in May 2026
The highest price among all types of fuel was recorded for Mustang+ diesel — 92.90 UAH per liter. Second place in terms of cost is shared by Euro 5 diesel and A-100 Mustang gasoline — at 89.90 UAH per liter.
The cheapest diesel fuel can be bought at Shell network stations: there it costs 61.99 UAH. A slightly higher price is offered by "Ukrnafta" – 73.99 UAH per liter of diesel.
Avantage 7, BRSM-Nafta, UPG, MANGO, Marshal, Market, AMIC, KLO, and BVS maintain prices at the 80+ UAH level. In turn, OKKO, SOCAR, and WOG keep the price at 89.90 per liter of fuel.
Autogas remains the cheapest type of fuel: how much you have to pay for it
Gas currently costs an average of 48.90 UAH per liter. This is the lowest price among all presented fuel positions. Compared to A-95 Euro 5-E5 gasoline, autogas is 31 UAH per liter cheaper. Compared to Euro 5 diesel, the difference is 41 UAH per liter.
The cheapest autogas is currently offered at Shell gas stations. There, the price is set at 36.99 UAH.
Price remains the key argument in favor of autogas for some drivers. Even taking into account the maintenance costs of LPG equipment, the difference in price per liter can be significant for those who drive a lot.
At the same time, the direct price advantage of gas does not mean an automatic benefit for all car owners. The final savings depend on the fuel consumption of a specific vehicle, mileage, technical condition of the car, and the cost of installing or maintaining gas equipment.
What the fuel price structure shows
According to available data, Mustang+ diesel is currently the most expensive — 92.90 UAH per liter. Next are Euro 5 diesel and A-100 Mustang gasoline — at 89.90 UAH per liter. A-95 Mustang gasoline costs 82.90 UAH per liter, and A-95 Euro 5-E5 — 79.90 UAH per liter.
Autogas has the lowest price — 48.90 UAH per liter.
This price structure demonstrates a noticeable gap between gas and traditional types of motor fuel. At the same time, within the gasoline and diesel groups, the difference between standard and premium products ranges from 3 to 10 UAH per liter.
For consumers, this means that the choice of fuel type directly affects monthly car expenses. For businesses, especially in the field of logistics, transportation, and delivery, such prices are an important factor in prime cost.
As a reminder
At the beginning of May 2026, the NBU predicted that stabilization and further downward correction of retail prices in the fuel market is possible provided that the external price environment improves.
