On the night of April 2, four Russian Orion strike and reconnaissance UAVs, an An-72P transport aircraft, and a P-37 Mech radar station were destroyed at the Kirovske airfield in occupied Crimea. According to him, the strike on the base and pre-flight training point of Russian drones was carried out by units of the 1st separate SBS center and the 9th department of the Main Intelligence Directorate. The target was the infrastructure where the newest Russian Orion UAVs were based.

As "Madyar" noted, as a result of the attack, the base was destroyed, and among the confirmed losses of the Russian Federation are four drones of this type. Also, according to his data, an An-72P aircraft and a P-37 Mech circular surveillance radar station were hit on the airfield territory.

According to the SBS commander, the strikes were carried out by Ukrainian middle strike FP-2 means with a warhead of 60-100 kg.
The Orion UAV is one of the most expensive Russian operational-tactical level drones. It can stay in the air for up to 24 hours, operate at a depth of up to 250-300 km, and carry up to 250 kg of weapons.
