An explosion occurred at an ammunition depot in the Czech Republic, injuring one person. 11 fire brigades are working at the scene of the fire, UNN writes with reference to Czech Radio.
"An explosion occurred at an engineering plant in Polička at around 9 a.m.," the Czech Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement.
The explosion occurred at an ammunition depot in the central Czech Republic on March 25. At least one person is reported to have been injured. The Czech Fire and Rescue Service has declared a fire alarm and 11 fire crews are working at the scene.
It is also reported that residents of areas near the scene were evacuated. There is no danger to local residents. A number of roads near the incident have also been closed.
It is noted that the facility where the explosion occurred not only stores but also produces large-caliber ammunition.
