The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia for today at 44.2996 UAH/USD, weakening the national currency by another 2 kopecks for the day after the start of the decline the day before, UNN reports with reference to NBU data.
The NBU also set the official exchange rate of the euro against the hryvnia for May 28 at 51.5426 UAH/EUR, further weakening the hryvnia by 3 kopecks for the day, adding to the decline at the beginning of this week.
According to data on specialized websites as of Thursday morning:
- in banks, the dollar is trading at an average rate of 43.96 UAH for purchase and 44.47 UAH for sale, while the euro is at 51.22 UAH and 51.86 UAH respectively;
- in exchange offices, the dollar is trading at an average rate of 44.10 UAH for purchase and 44.20 UAH for sale, while the euro is at 51.60 UAH and 51.80 UAH respectively.
