According to the Lithuanian police, a former head of Alexei Navalny's headquarters, Leonid Volkov, was attacked on the evening of March 12 on Juvedru Street, on the outskirts of Vilnius. Volkov was sprayed in the eyes with tear gas, after which he was beaten with a hammer - Volkov received at least 15 blows, his arm was broken and his leg was injured.
The Russian opposition activist is now hospitalized.
