Ambassadors of European Union member states are ready to approve a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine on Wednesday if the transit of Russian oil to Hungary resumes on time. This was reported by Politico, citing four unnamed EU diplomats, according to UNN.

It is noted that the Cypriot presidency of the EU Council included the issue of a loan to Ukraine on the agenda of the meeting of 27 EU ambassadors on Wednesday.
If oil supplies resume by then, Hungary is expected to drop its veto, and the loan will be approved
It is indicated that the outgoing Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, will lift his veto on the loan as soon as oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline, which was damaged by a Russian strike in January, is restored.
"If the loan is approved this week, Kyiv will receive the money in May. As soon as Hungary lifts its veto, the European Commission will be able to disburse the funds after the completion of technical procedures, which are expected to take several weeks," the media quotes one of the interlocutors.
