The IT Coalition within the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense (Ramstein format) has formed expert subgroups, and two of its members - Estonia and Luxembourg - have announced new financial contributions. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Details

The group meeting was attended by 11 IT Coalition member countries, as well as representatives of seven observer countries, the European Union and NATO. They discussed the status of procurement and priorities for this year, as well as the procurement planning roadmap.

We can expect more countries to join us in the near future, as well as additional contributions and the first deliveries of equipment to Ukraine

- said Tuuli Duneton, Deputy Minister of Defense for Policy Planning of Estonia.

In addition, the IT Coalition Steering Group has established four thematic expert groups to share expertise, and several countries, including Estonia and Luxembourg, have announced further financial contributions.

Since the last Steering Group meeting in February, we have managed to accelerate procurement processes. We have placed our first orders and the first deliveries are on the way. Technology can be a game changer and have a direct impact on operations. That is why the IT Coalition and its activities are important, and why we continue to invite countries to join

- summarized Colonel Guy Hoffmann, National Director of Armaments of Luxembourg.

For reference

The IT Coalition is an ad hoc group of states within the Ukraine Defense Contact Group led by Estonia and Luxembourg. Its goal is to support the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the field of IT, communications and cybersecurity.
