On May 26, at around 10:40 AM, near the Piatykhatky City Council building, a local farmer stabbed the city's mayor during a verbal altercation.
As a result of the attack, the mayor sustained a stab wound to the chest area and was hospitalized in serious condition.
Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, law enforcement officers have initiated criminal proceedings for attempted premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 15, Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Investigative actions are currently underway, and measures are being taken to detain the individual involved.
