Nigeria has arrested seven Polish nationals for raising Russian flags during anti-government protests in the northern state of Kano. This was announced on Wednesday by Piotr Afunanya, a spokesman for the State Security Service.

Poles were arrested on Monday in northern Kano State because of where they were found during the protests and for displaying foreign flags

Meanwhile, the Polish foreign ministry said on Platform X that it was establishing the "exact circumstances" of the incident by cooperating with Nigerian authorities.
